So Who Needs Truth When Lies Will Work?

Yesterday marked the 50th Anniversary of the "March on Washington  and the "I Have A Dream" speech given my Martin Luther King, Jr.  In what should have been a great celebration of a benchmark point in US history, the Liberal crowd shamed themselves by using it to further their own agenda while tearing down the legacy of MLK. It was absolutely disgraceful. The lies and deception of their speeches and the fact that they kept all conservatives off the program and even went so far as to not invite the only black Senator (because he is a Republican?) was shameful. If we were to judge these people, as MLK suggested, "by their character", they would certainly be found wanting.

While there are many more... here are the 5 biggest lies spoken at yesterdays event.
(Adapted from a story in the Independent Journal Review)

1) It's easier to buy an assault weapon than it is to vote in America. ~ Bill Clinton

Seriously? Is there anyone out there that is actually that gullable that they believe this?
Apparently so, becase they sure cheered him on when he said it.

2) The Berlin Wall fell because of the Civil Rights Movement.  ~ Barack Obama

Obama must of been in his peek drug using years in the late 70's and early 90's because somehow he had totally dismissed or forgotten about Ronald Reagan and Marqarette Thatcher.
The US Civil Rights movement had ZERO to do with the Wall falling.

3) Somehow, racial equality has to do with the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Coup, the Syrian Civil War between Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah, and Trayvon Martin being killed by a Peruvian.  ~ Bernice King (MLK's daughter)

What in the world is she smoking? She clearly has NO true understanding of her father's views. I can promise you that if MLK were alive today, he would stand in opposition to the USA striking Syria.

4) You can feed hungry people with courage, and also house the homeless in it!  ~ Barack Obama

If you could feed and house people with courage, then Obama is surely the cause of most of the poverty and homelessness in the world. Oh and by the way, incomes fell more than twice as much under Obama’s “recovery” than they did during the recession. Should we really be taking advice from this guy on feeding and sheltering?

5) "I think we know how Dr. King would have reacted to our country being awash in guns, and passing more Stand Your Ground laws." ~ Jimmy Carter

The only problem with this statement is that MLK owned an “arsenal” of guns for his own protection, and he even applied for a concealed carry license, which was denied for racist reasons.
History is inconvenient for Jimmy Carter, and often cruel to him.

Oh well, what difference does truth make?
While the rest of American society continues making progress, we can be sure the liberals and Democrats will fight tooth and nail so that no one admits it.
