The 365 Project

Introducing the 365 Project

What is the 365 Project? I was doing some yard work today and honestly was not in the best of moods. I've not felt well all week long, but have had to push through because I had so much to do. Even though not feeling well, I've driven 693 miles to Cleveland, Tennessee, moved my son (Daniel) out of his dorm, cleaned the dorm and then drove the 693 miles back home. While gone my wife called and told me that she broke down in my daughter's car and we had to tow it home, and after having a new timing belt and water pump installed, the bill was just over $525. My mood got worse... and physically I'm still not feeling well. There's a whole lot more going on and my stress level has been through the roof. While I was outside using a sledge hammer to break up a huge stone slab that has been in our yard since we moved here almost 6 years ago. It looked like a grave head stone, and I was tired of it being there. While taking out a lot of my aggravation on the stone, I was also praying and I began looking at things differently. I began to think, "Thank you Lord for the strength to make it to Cleveland and back. Thank you that my son is back home with us. Thank you for the car that someone blessed us with, and thank you for the provision that we were able to have the car repaired. Thank you Lord that I have a home with a yard to have this stupid stone in it!" As I began to push out my "mood" and get off my pity pot, I began to realize that it is true that every cloud has a silver lining. I made a promise to myself that every single day for the next year, I was going to find at least one good thing no matter how bad the day may have gone, no matter how bad the weather is, no matter how I feel, I will find one good thing and I will take a photo of it and post it to this blog, every day for one year.... "The 365 Project."

I hope you will pop in and check it out and I hope maybe it will help you to find something good in your life every day for the next 365 days.
