Where have all the bloggers gone?

I've noticed recently that most of the people in my little circle of blogging (those linked to the left) have either quit blogging or all but quit. I guess they have gotten bored with the blogging thing. I got to thinking about that this morning, and isn't that the way most of us are with most things. We discover something new, dive into it with excitement and passion and then as time wanes, we lose interest and slowly drift away, and maybe go back once in awhile when the urge hits us.

Hmmm.... I think I just described the way a lot of people treat Jesus and going to church.

People get bored to easy.Jesus and church is one place I do not understand how they can get bored. You can learn somthing new every day if you want to.Just open your mind and heart.

I was just thinking thank you god for not getting bored with us.For not giving up on us.

There is always something new out there to get ones attention... a new church, new ministry, new something. Just keep doing what you're doing because the new things always fade away and we always revert back to the old thing... I mean, bell-bottoms popular again?

Sylvia, you said a mouthfull with that comment about God not getting bored with us.

Dude, you're still just a young pup. I have lived long enough to see the 50's craze revived twice now. I have to admit though, I never thought I'd see leisure suits make a come back... but they are wearing them again. Not this boy! Once was enough for that!

Hey, I'm still around! Blogging is still big, though we find ourselves in blog droughts. I've been on a blog kick lately.

I guess I have learned not to view blogging as a fad, but as a viable tool for ministry.

BTW, you will never catch me in a leisure suit!

shoo... Good thing I posted something today before I read this...

Don't forget to add praying and reading our bible to the list.

Wait a minute...
I was not equating blogging with anything spiritual. I just happened to think about how the same type pattern is evident in some people's lives. And I certainly did not mean that about you folks in my blogging "familily"!

I was adding praying and reading the bible to the Jesus and church list.

It seems that we can get all gun-ho and fired up on these things from a conference or good sermon and 2 months later we are right back to the way we were before.

I was not saying anything about all the bloggers not blogging either. Today was my first post since 9/25

I've been blogging and reading your blogs, just don't always post. Have to admit though, I've been discouraged in myself, not many comments on my posts, guess I'm getting boring. I'm leaving the 14th of the month for South Carolina and then to Kenya until the 27th...won't be blogging for half the month...See you when I get back!

I choose not to blog for I am taking a stand against the blogging concept... OK, really, I just don't have a blog thing, unless you count the message I post on the church website?

Neil, I tried to post to your blog several times and I keep getting this error thing stating that I can't, so please don't think I haven't tried and we'll be praying for you trip!

Darrell, maybe someday you can blog about that lane I'm traveling in my life, that would make a good blog!!!

Yeah, Darrell, you stirred everybody up!.. I know I quit the scene for a while only because of my work schedule, but I'm coming back! Oh, by the way the title of your entry reminds me of that song "Where Have all the Flowers Gone?" you 'member that one? I've been keeping up with everyone else's blogs and they've been real good!

To tell you the truth...I'm just too busy!!! I feel guilty if I sit for too long to blog cuz of all the crazy stuff going on right now. Maybe when we're back from our vacation things will slow down...no more football and soccer!

I promise to blog sometime soon :)

Ruthrap,

When I saw the title I actually started to sing that song! lol
Do you remember the last line of the chorus? "When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?" Isn't it?

I've been very busy with work. Eventually things may get back to normal. But not anytime soon. Blogging for me is a luxury

I even forgot my blogging password
