He Has A License

At long last, having finally cleaned his room and mastering his parallel parking, Daniel went and took his test for his drivers license tonight. He did great. I wish I could have had a camera with me when they were trying to take his picture for the license. He had such a big, toothy smile on his face that the worker there just looked at me and I had to ask him to get rid of that cheese eating grin. He was so excited. I probably was just as excited when I got mine, but good grief, that was 31 years ago... so I really don't remember!

Congrats! You should have seen me when I got me licence, Darrell. That was 15 years ago now. I didn't get my first car till I was 17. 1970 Maverick, primer gray. I took the thing to Maaco and had it painted a sharp metallic blue.

That was a nice car. The day of the Junior Prom I was coming home from work and the exhaust fell off. My dad ran it to Midas and got a new system put on it in time to shower and throw my tux on and get my date. My seat covers were black bedsheets.

Well Dawg, maybe you can get back to doing your office work and not being the taxi service?
