One year ago today I sat down at my computer and started writing in my journal about some of the things happening in the church where I pastor, and I thought, "I wonder what others would say about this?"
I remembered that about a year or so earlier I had created a blog that I had never used, and I went about the task of relocating it, and I put my first entry onboard, which I called, "Too Embarrassed To Praise."
At that time I had no idea that this would become a regular thing I did, because I have kept a personal journal for years, and I was not too certain about sharing my thoughts with the world. Somehow, it evolved, and caught on with others in and around my church, with many creating blogs of their own.
Now, here we are, one year later, and I am amazed at what this thing has become. I have met new friends from all over the United States and several other countries through this blog.
In the beginning I remember thinking, "Wow, I've had 50 hits this week to my blog site." To date, that number has grown to over 13,500 visitors with over 30,000 pages viewed. It's been a great release for me to get some stuff out of my head and into others.
It' also been a lot of fun, and I just wanted to say thank you to all my readers!

Hey, Dawg! Ya know, you're part of the reason I started blogging. So, it's your fault! Really, keep this up, you have been a huge encouragement to me. I too always look forward to the Dawg blog.
