True faith takes God at His Word when the circumstances and everything around you seems to deny the truth of His promise. Our ability to endure to the end will depend upon our allowing the Holy Spirit to train us in developing this kind of faith.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Let’s look at some passages in Isaiah that I believe will help us strengthen our faith when we are feeling weak.
(Isa 8:12) Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
(Isa 8:13) Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him beyour dread.
(Isa 8:14) And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
(Isa 8:15) And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.
BELIEVE that the Lord is your refuge, and OVERCOME worldly fear that threatens us in times of major crisis.
(Isa 40:29) He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
(Isa 40:30) Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
(Isa 40:31) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Understand that Spiritual strength comes from waiting on the Lord.
We don’t like waiting.
We often try to Help God Out, and we make things a mess.
(Isa 42:23) Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
(Isa 42:24) Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
(Isa 42:25) Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.
(Isa 43:1) But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
(Isa 43:2) When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
(Isa 43:3) For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
(Isa 43:4) Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honorable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
(Isa 43:5) Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
(Isa 43:6) I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
(Isa 43:7) Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
We have got to come to the place of absolute TRUST that God knows how to protect His people from the judgment and wrath that he pours out upon others.
(Isa 55:10) For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
(Isa 55:11) So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
CHOOSE TO BELIEVE that God’s Word is the most powerful force in the universe, and then ACT accordingly!
