I'd Laugh If It Were Not So Sad

I knew it was only a matter of time... and now it has happened. The Democrats have pointed the finger, blaming the Bush administration for the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Nancy Pelosi today said it was Bush's fault for not having the correct oversight over the situation, so it is their fault. She said that Bush and the oil companies had a "cozy" relationship. Funny, but it seem to me that the record reflects a pretty cozy relationship between British Petrolium and Obama... so cozy in fact that Obama was recipient of more dollars from BP than any other member of the government. (See the story here) Those who live in glass houses Ms. Pelosi!
Also, correct me if I am wrong, but we were 16 months into the Obama administration when this tragedy took place. I think it is time Mr. Obama man up and take full responsibility for this. Oh, don't tell me he has. He said the words... but his actions speak otherwise. If he really is shouldering the responsibility, then he needs to tell Pelosi to shut her mouth. I could be mistaken, as I've not taken time to research this, but it seems to me that I heard that this very platform that has the leak was in fact inspected shortly before this leak, which puts the full brunt of this onto this administration.

Here's the actual news story for anyone who wants to read it:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., blamed the Bush administration for any lack of oversight leading up to the Gulf oil spill. The Obama administration, on the other hand, is blameless.

From Talk Radio News Service:

“Many of the people appointed in the Bush administration are still burrowed in the agencies that are supposed to oversee the [oil] industry,” Pelosi said when asked if Democrats could have prevented or mitigated the crisis by keeping a closer watch on the industry.

Added the Speaker, “the cozy relationships between the Bush administration’s agency leadership and the industry is clear…I’ve heard no complaints from my members about the way the president has handled it,” Pelosi stated.

On Friday, the Washington Examiner requested that Speaker Pelosi’s office release the list of Bush appointees to whom she was referring. We’ll let you know when we hear back.

NOW, the Dems have blamed Bush for Al Gore's divorce! When are they going to quit beating that dead horse!

Grow up and take responsibility for your OWN actions!
