The Dawghowse is a place inside the head of husband, father and Pastor Darrell Garrett. It's the place where the real me lurks.
Be forewarned: It's probably not what you expect. Sometimes it's a serious place... sometimes it's not. Sometimes my thoughts are deep... and sometimes they are just plain weird.
Welcome to my world!

Beware of the "Revival" in Lakeland
This was on a friends blog and I decided to post it on my own and encourage others to post it on theirs. This thing happening in Lakeland, Florida is dangerous and thousands are being deceived. Set the trumpet to your lips folks and sound the alarm!
Maybe you should investigate something yourself, personally, before posting... and then if you have a problem with a brother or a ministry, approach them personally rather than trashing reputations in a public venue (that IS what Jesus said to do, isn't it?)
Take the blinders off Kathi. When there is false teaching, error, it is to be exposed. There is no question. These are the words of the man himself, not someone else telling about them. He said that it is not about Jesus. He said he prays to angels. He has repeatedly said things that are contrary to God's Word. You are utterly mistaken you think that I need to drive to Florida to talk to the man in order to comply with the Word. The guy is preaching another gospel and those who know the Word are to expose such errors. You've been warned. If you choose to follow, you are without excuse.
By the way Kathi, this video uses the Word of God to dispel everything that Todd is saying/doing. How can you argue with that? If the Word "trashes" his reputation, then that says volumes of his reputation, doesn't it?
It is so imperative that we not "follow the latest happening"...but be on our face before the Lord and ask HIM to impart to us our own vision. Reminds me of the "Laughing Revival" from Toronto, but to such a more powerful extreme.
People are so desperate for a Healing or a Touch from God, they forget, they don't have to "GO SOMEWHERE" or have someone else pray for them...they can do it themselves! God has give all of us the ability to lay hands on & heal - thru HIS name, and for HIS glory.
But it is easy to get caught up in the exhilleration of a group...but one must then go before God privately...alone...and seek His truth. Not stay caught up in the thrill. But have that alone time with the Lord, God Almighty.
Lord, I pray for the folks who are being decieved. Being caught up in this deception of this false prophet. God, help them to find some alone time, and speak with them the truth, that they may see with clear eyes. Help them before it's too late! In Jesus name, Amen.
I have watched a few of Todd's videos on youtube. At the very least this guy is a huckster, more likely, he is communing with, and influenced by, demonic powers.
People's lust for the spectacular is clouding there discernment.
Check this out... Justin Peters (http://www.justinpeters.org) was on Way of the Master Radio with Todd Friel on this:
A pastor pronounced "healed" by Todd Bentley Dies 8 Days Later.-Pastor Justin Peters contacted 7 people who went up on stage and said they felt the power of God go through them, but Todd Bentley proclaimed them healed, and none of the 7 ...

Thanks Darrell, I'm going to post this video on my blog as well.

Justin holds seminars on the Word of Faith movement and spoke at my church and comes highly recommended by my Pastor, Dr. John MacArthur.
You can see a "demo" of his presentation on the metaphysical roots of the WoF movement on his site...
