Mystery Solved!!!

Today I discovered the answer to one of the deep mysteries of my life.
Up until this morning there has been a mystery that I just could not figure out, and that was, "Why the Lord would have a man who hates the cold and snow as much as I do, to live as far north as I do. Those who know me have often heard me talk about how I am a wimp when it comes to cold, and that if it were totally up to me, I would be heading up a beach ministry some where. Don't get me wrong; I love Galesburg. It is a great town, but... it would be a better town if it were in a warm climate, near the beach!

I have often questioned the Lord as to why he would send me this far north, knowing my aversion to cold and snow.
Well, today the mystery has been solved. There is a traitor in my house!
My wife showed her true colors for all the world to see on her blog. (See the link to Libby's blog)
So I guess the deal is that since we are partners in this life and ministry, it cannot all go according to my heart's desires... the Lord listens to her too. I knew one thing she always wanted was a big OLD house (which God gave her) and another thing is she loves snow... and I guess her love for snow is deeper than my love for the beach.

Enjoy it while you can honey, because if the Lord tarries and we live long enough to retire... you will have seen your last snow flake!

To Pastor H - Thanks, I'm very grateful to God for our home. We haven't always been so fortunate, but God has always provided a roof no matter the size and I'm grateful for that as well.

To Phil - just gottat keep him on his toes. After 20 years, I'm still surprizing him. Ain't it great?
